Visit of the Synagogue place des Vosges in Paris (Lycée Charlemagne) - October 17 2025

On Friday, October 17, 2025, students from Lycée Charlemagne participating in the Neshama project visited the synagogue on the Place des Vosges in Paris to meet Chief Rabbi Olivier Kaufmann. 

He discussed the history of this landmark, marked by the memory of deported Jews, as well as Judaism in France. They also spoke with Arlette Testyler, a Holocaust survivor who, as a Jewish child, was arrested on July 16, 1942, and interned at the Beaune-la-Rolande camp.
