Polish ambassadors : workshops - September 26, 2025
During this meeting, two workshops were conducted. The first, titled “Questions About the Shoah , Workshop at the Reflection Centre in Block 27,” addressed the complex question of how the Holocaust could have happened.
Participants explored the various factors that contributed to the mechanism of the Shoah by listening to testimonies from Holocaust survivors as well as insights from experts across different disciplines.
These perspectives provided a foundation for reflection and discussion on both the causes and consequences of the Holocaust.
The second workshop, “The Extermination of the Sinti and Roma , Workshop at the Roma Exhibition,” took place at the national exhibition in Block 13. Under the guidance of an educator, participants learned how to conduct research within the exhibition and present their findings to the group.
The session focused on three main themes: the persecution of the Sinti and Roma under the Third Reich in the 1930s, including racial ideology, social marginalisation, and the stripping of civil rights; the genocide of the Sinti and Roma in occupied Europe; and the Roma family camp at Auschwitz concentration camp, known as the “Zigeunerlager.”
