Yesterday, the first phase of the international project NESHAMA was held, organized by the Memorial de la Shoah as the international coordinator, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth as the national coordinator, and JUSP Jasenovac as a project partner.
Accompanied by Professor Đordić, Professor Kosović, and Snježana Šincek, senior advisor at the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth, 50 first- and second-year students visited JUSP Jasenovac yesterday. The students also participated in an online lecture, “Introduction to the European History of the Holocaust,” by Hubert Strouk from the Memorial de la Shoah. This lecture was attended by students from France, Greece, Germany, and Poland, who are also participating in the project. After the lecture and a lunch break, there was a guided tour of the JUSP Jasenovac and an age-appropriate educational workshop. The next phase of the project will take place in the fall of 2025.
We thank the Ministry of Science and Education and Mrs. Šincek for including our school in this project as the only school from the Republic of Croatia!
